Property and Uses
HEDP•Na is an organic acid-based corrosion inhibitor that can form stable complexes with various metal ions such as iron, copper, and zinc, and can dissolve oxides on metal surfaces. It can still provide good corrosion inhibition at 250°C, remains stable at high temperatures, is not easily hydrolyzed, and generally does not decompose under normal light and heat conditions. It has better acid and oxidation resistance than other organic acids (salts). It can form six-ring complexes with metal ions in water, especially calcium ions, thus exhibiting good scale inhibition and significant solubility limitation effects. When combined with other water treatment agents, it exhibits ideal synergistic effects.
HEDP•Na is suitable for acidic formulations as scale inhibitors and detergents. HEDP•Na is the single salt of hydroxyethylidene-1,1-diphosphonic acid, suitable for applications such as metal cleaning, metal handling, and metal ion control.
HEDP•Na is widely used in industrial circulation cooling water systems in power, chemical, metallurgy, fertilizer, and other industries, as well as in medium and low-pressure boilers, oil field water injection, and oil pipeline anti-scaling and corrosion suppression.
In light industry, HEDP•Na can be used as a cleaning agent for both metals and non-metals, as an oxide stabilizer and fixative in the dyeing industry, and as a complexing agent in the cyanide-free electroplating industry.

How to use
As a scale inhibitor, the typical concentration is 2-20mg/L; as a corrosion inhibitor, 20-100mg/L; and as a cleaning agent, 1000-2000mg/L. It is usually used together with polycarboxylate-type scale inhibitors and dispersants.
Packaging and storage
HEDP•Na is packaged in plastic barrels, with each drum weighing 30kg or 250kg, and can also be customized according to user requirements. Store in a cool, shaded indoor area with a shelf life of ten months.
Safety protection
HEDP•Na is acidic; pay attention to labor protection during operation, avoid contact with skin and eyes, and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water after contact.
